Dr. Diva Kant Misra
Vision loss can be sudden, frightening, and deeply personal. As a retina surgeon, I believe my responsibility goes far beyond treating disease. It is about guiding patients with clarity, honesty, and reassurance at some of the most critical moments of their lives.
My journey in ophthalmology has been shaped by extensive training at some of the most respected eye institutes in India and abroad. I have completed advanced vitreoretinal and medical retina training at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, one of India’s leading tertiary eye care centers.
Internationally, I have been privileged to train at the Byers Eye Institute, Stanford University, USA, gaining exposure to cutting-edge retinal surgery, research, and global standards of care. I have also pursued advanced leadership training at Harvard Medical School, where I studied healthcare leadership, systems improvement, and clinical excellence at a global level.
Alongside clinical practice, I am actively involved in national and international ophthalmic leadership and academic roles. I work closely with ophthalmologists across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States, contributing to education, mentoring, and the development of platforms for young specialists. These roles ensure that my clinical practice remains aligned with the latest scientific evidence, evolving technologies, and ethical standards worldwide.
My approach to retina care is founded on three principles:
Every patient receives an individualized treatment plan, with clear explanations and realistic expectations. I strongly believe that patients deserve transparency, empathy, and care that prioritizes what is truly necessary for their sight and quality of life.
At Swarnjyoti Eye Hospital, we are committed to delivering advanced retina care with integrity, precision, and compassion, supported by modern imaging, state-of-the-art surgical technology, and a dedicated team. My promise is to stand with my patients through every stage of their retinal journey, from diagnosis to recovery.
